Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is the successor to India’s most sold phone of 2016, Redmi Note 3. With this phone the company has tried to address most of the issues found on their Redmi Note 3. The display resolution remains the same at full HD,1080p, but it is tad brighter now, the bezels have become a bit narrow, there is a diamond cutting at the sides and the back is covered with a polished metal that gives it a premium look. The phone runs on Snapdragon 625 chipset, which is more than enough to run almost all day-to-day works and games smoothly. The phone contains all the basic sensors. It features a 13MP primary camera which is capable of taking good shots even in lowlight conditions and at the front it has a 5MP camera for selfies. The quality you get is good enough for social media sharing.
The price of the phone starts from INR 9999 for the 32 GB2GB RAM. There is a 4100 mAh battery that can give you two days long battery life.
Xiaomi Redmi 4
Redmi 4 is for those who cannot afford Redmi Note 4. The phone features a metallic body, a 5 inch HD 720p display with GG and a Snapdragon 435 chipset, all for just INR 6999. The phone weighs 150 g. It supports dual Sim. The phone has fingerprint sensor along with other sensors that you could normally see in budget phones. The phone comes in 16 GB memory+2GB RAM and 32GB memory+ 3GB RAM versions.
The phone has a 13 MP primary camera which is good for the price range and a 5MP selfie camera. It runs on android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI8 on top of it.
Yu Yureka Black
Yu announced their budget phone Yureka Black in June 2017. Their target was the budget conscious consumer group.
The phone has a dark black metal unibody design that feels solid in the hands. At the front it has a 5 inch full HD display (1080*1920) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. At 69.7% screen to body ratio the bezels are not so thin.
Yu Yureka Black is backed by Snapdragon 430 chipset that has eight cores running at 1.4 GHz cortex A-53 and is supported by Adreno 505 for graphic intensive tasks.
The phone comes with dual sim hybrid slot where you can use two sims or one sim and a memory card with 64GB limit.
Internally, the phone has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM that is plenty for the price range.
It has a 13MP face detection autofocus camera with dual LED flash for photography and an 8MP selfie camera. Both the cameras are decent.
The phone is powered by a 3000mAh battery that can last for day. The company has also promised to upgrade the phone to 7.0 Nougat.
In June 2017 HMD global launched Nokia 3 with a price tag of INR 9999. The phone has a 5 inch HD (720*1280) 2.5D curved glass with Gorilla Glass protection.
Unlike other phones at this price range, Nokia 3 is made of polycarbonate body with metallic frames. It has Mediatek 6737 quad core processor that runs at 1.3 GHz. It comes with 16 GB ROM with 2GB RAM. Also, there is a microSD card slot, with an expandable memory up to 128GB.
For photography, there is an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a front camera with 8MP resolution. The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and is backed by a 2650 mAh battery that can give you a-day-long run with medium to heavy usage. The company has announced that it will provide future updates to all of its phones. Sadly, Nokia 3 does not have a fingerprint sensor which is a basic feature for a smart phone these days.
Lenovo launched the budget-friendly K6 in May 2017 with the aim of capturing more market share.
K6 comes in two variants- one with 3GB RAM and another one 4GB RAM priced at INR 9999 and 10,999 respectively. The phone has a 5 inch full HD IPS LCD display with 441ppi. The display is good to watch movies. Sadly, there is no Gorilla Glass protection.
It runs on android 6.0 Marshmallow. Like Yu Yureka Black, Lenovo K6 is powered by snapdragon 430 chipset and is backed by Adreno 505GPU. The phone features a dual sim hybrid slot that supports two sims or one sim plus one microSD card. The microSD card support is expandable up to 256GB. It comes with two variants- 16GB and 32GB. For photography lovers, the phone comes with a 13 MP camera with LED flash that supports geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. There is an 8MP front selfie camera. K6 is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery.
