Prabir Das was born on 20 december 1993 in West Bengal.
Das is known to everyone for his performances in ISL for ATK. He has been an integral part of ATK that won the ISL 2016 season.
Das started his professional career by signing for Pailan Arrows. Das was young and energetic. He played consistently throughout the season which made critics applaud him.
On 12 th april 2013, Das collapsed during an I-League match against Prayag United. It was due to heatstroke. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
On 15 nov 2013, when Das was about 20 years old, he was signed by the Goan giant clubDempo SC, for a one year deal. He made 10 appearances for dempo.
Later in 2015 Das signed a contract with Mohan Began for 2 years. Here also he delivered consistent performance. In his two years stay at Mohan Began, Das scored 2 goals from his 24 appearances for the club.
In ISL the story is a bit strange for Das. In the 2014 inaugural ISL season, he played for FC Goa. He could make only one appearance for the club in the entire season.
In 2015, Das played for Delhi Dynamos. Here also he could not deliver any notable performance that could give him place in the playing eleven. The opportunities were limited for Das in Delhi Dynamos.
In 2016 he made only 6 appearances in the season for ATK and it was more than enough to make a name for himself.
Das helped ATK lift the trophy in the third season of ISL. Later, he was signed for a three years deal with ATK.
Apart from these, Das represented India U19, where he made 3 appearances from which he scored one goal. He also represented India U23 team where he made 2 appearances.
From his earlier performances I can say he is going to be a positive asset for ATK in the coming seasons. I wish Prabir Das all the best for his upcoming matches.
